Torre Alfina

Torre Alfina is a fraction of Acquapendente. A charming medieval village, situated on top of a hill of volcanic origin, where the air is good and clean. The imposing castle of Torre Alfina overlooking the village, has preserved its splendor thanks to a careful restoration. The castle had, among its owners, also the marquis Cahen. This was very much linked to the territory to choose it as his burial place. The remains of the Marquis are enclosed in a mausoleum in the Gothic Bosco Sasseto Torre Alfina, just outside the village.

The Castle Tower Alfina is reached only through a dead end street and this makes it even more fascinating, with its austere profile that brings to mind its troubled past.
