A short distance away from Casale Galli is the Natural Reserve of Monte Rufeno, one of the protected areas of Lazio that covers about 3,000 hectares in the municipality of Acquapendente. Within the reserve there are several paths, on request we can organize excursions on foot, horseback or bicycle.

In the forests of the Reserve is the Museo del Fiore (Torre Alfina); a small nature museum, divided into thematic sections, including “The flowers of Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve”, “Flowers and insects” and “The flowers and man.” The museum features educational games and offers a small exhibition on “Pugnaloni”, large paintings of religious or allegorical subjects with the main theme of freedom, always varied, with compound leaves and flower petals. Also open is the Nature Trail del Fiore with a path length of about 3 km, an ancient renovated water mill that in the past transformed wheat into flour, a teaching apiary to explore closely the life and the behavior of bees, and a garden with picnic tables and games for children.
